Setting up a Wikipedia account

You do not need a Wikipedia login to edit most articles.  There are many regular contributors to Wikipedia who have never registered a login.  However, a login adds to things that can be done including tracking contributions, communicating with other editors, uploading images, and editing semi-protected articles.
